I was reading today that the UK is looking to change the organic label to exclude foods that have been flown into the country. This is because organic while good for the body also has an environmental impact that is negated.
Meanwhile, back in the States, the Food and Drug Administration is going to allow milk and meat from cloned animals be labeled organic.
Rather conflicting don’t you think?

Due to extreme water shortages shortages in Queensland, Australia, they will soon need to incorporate recycled wastewater (sewage) into the drinking supply. This is currently done in countries like the UK and Singapore, but is something that most people find repulsing.
Why do I write about such a repulsive item you may ask - because people in Waukesha may end up in the same situation as that county is depleting their water supply. I may soon be saying that same thing when I go to Sydney’s dad’s house and drink the water.

A group of students from Oklahoma State University sent a Pentax DSLR to 104,000 ft via a sounding balloon and took pictures along the way. This pic is from the peak of the flight - look at their entire project’s pictures - it’s amazing.
