If you are one of the millions of people that enjoy on-line streaming internet music from sources like Yahoo! Music, Pandora, Rhapsody, or any of the thousands of other stations your ability to enjoy that music today is gone in protest of rate hikes that may remove Internet Radio from the U.S. forever.
Please take action at by writing your Congress representatives asking them to take action to ensure that the Internet Radio Equality Act is debated and passed into law prior to July 15. If not, the internet radio industry will owe17 months’ worth of retroactive royalty payments at rates rates (300% higher) than what are currently paid.

I’ve been meaning to write about this for some time, so I apologize…
Yahoo! has a tool called MegaVote that I have found to be a huge help in staying tuned into what is really going on at Capital Hill. By signing up with your zip code you can see how your Senators and Representatives are voting and what bills are upcoming. They even provide direct links to allow you to e-mail them your opinion.
Having this report sent to me on a regular basis has caused me to write my congressmen much more than I ever would have. (I just finished asking my senators to vote in favor of the energy bill.) It also will allow me to be a more informed voter when re-elections come around.
Here’s a copy of my latest update from MegaVote

By the way, since everyone is waiting with baited breath,
